Two cases of subependymoma in the cervical spinal cord associated with stigmata of neurofibromatosis are reported. Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging showed one tumor with a sharp margin, which was well-demarcated intraoperatively and was totally removed. MR imaging showed the other tumor with an irregular margin, which was partly invasive at operation. Subependymomas are rare in the spinal cord and these are the first reported associations with neurofibromatosis.

The entity of lobular carcinoma in situ within a fibroadenoma is being increasingly recognized. Clinical examination, mammography, and fine-needle aspiration are the cornerstones in managing breast masses. A patient is presented with three lumps in the left breast. Although the workup was completely negative, pathological examination revealed lobular carcinoma in situ within one of the fibroadenomas.

We describe a patient with multiple extra-adrenal paragangliomas who presented with clinical features of a dilated cardiomyopathy. Hypertension was not a major feature of the illness despite excessive catecholamine secretion by the tumours. Following surgical resection the changes of dilated cardiomyopathy did not regress on echocardiography and the patient died of left ventricular failure.

The clinical course of a child who developed an adenocarcinoma of the stomach at 11 years of age is described. At 6 years of age, the child was evaluated for abdominal pain, weight loss, and vomiting. She was found to have hemorrhagic, atrophic gastritis, achlorhydria, and panhypogammaglobulinemia. Undifferentiated adenocarcinoma of the colon occurring in a 6-year-old boy was presented. The tumor characterized by the signet ring cell appearance developed in a polyp of the descending colon. The signet ring cell carcinoma is in general a rare morphologic form of colonic carcinoma. The authors report 2 cases of unilateral non functioning hydronephrotic kidney, associated with homolateral bladder tumoral filling defect. Cystoscopy and histology showed a non infiltrating tumor. On microscopic examination of a cervical carcinoid removed from a 29-year-old woman, foci of endocervical adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) and severe squamous dysplasia were present immediately adjacent to the invasive carcinoid tumor.
