The aim of this study was to describe current status of oral medication management and related situations by nurses who work on psychiatric wards in Turkey. The study was performed in 34 psychiatric wards in Turkey, and 471 nurses agreed to participate in the study. Data were collected by a questionnaire. Homicide followed by the suicide of the murderer is a relatively rare lethal incident in which an individual kills another person and subsequently dies by suicide. Cases involving a homicide and a suicide in which death examinations and autopsies were performed at The Konya Branch of the Forensic Medicine Council between 2000 and 2007 were retrospectively investigated. Orthorexia is a new term about eating behavior disorder and consists of pathologic obsession for biologically pure foods, free of herbicides, pesticides, and other artificial substances. It is not an independent diagnostic category, but it has some similarities with other eating disorders. This study was conducted to examine the orthorexia among 878 medical students. Seventy-four hominoid primary teeth have been recovered from the middle Miocene site of Paşalar, Turkey, constituting the largest sample of deciduous teeth for any species of fossil ape. Mycoplasma bovis normally affects cattle, in which it causes pneumonia in calves, mastitis, arthritis and other diseases. In the present article we report the isolation of this bovine pathogen from the tracheas of broiler chickens with no clinical signs. The most probable source of infection was the cattle herd sharing the farm with the chickens.

In the present study, the records of 242 children, aged 1-14 years, admitted with perforating ocular injury were reviewed retrospectively over a 5-year period. There were 175 boys and 67 girls in the study group. The patients were divided into 3 groups according to their ages. Perforating injuries occurred most frequently in the street in all groups. Hepatic lesions were studied in two turkey flocks by euthanatizing 50 birds a week from the ages of 1 through 15 wk. Samples of liver that contained lesions and samples of duodenum, pancreas, ileum, and cecal tonsil were examined histologically. Lymphocytic infiltrations made up 82% and 75% of the hepatic lesions, and granulomas occurred in 18% and 25% of the livers. Nematode larvae were present in 12% and 15% of the hepatic lesions.
