INTRODUCTION: acute prostatitis is a common urological condition. The purpose of this study was to analyze the epidemioclinical features and therapy of acute prostatitis associated with noncancerous prostate at the Lubumbashi University Clinics.

Oncogenicity studies of methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) vapor were conducted in CD-1 mice and Fischer 344 rats. ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Benincasa hispida possess substantial ethnopharmacological value across traditional medicines in Asia. It has been used traditionally for the management of various pathological conditions, including obesity, ulcers, epilepsy, bleeding piles, hyperacidity, haemoptysis, dysuria, and urinary calculi. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its nephroprotective potential in rodent models of acute and sub-chronic toxicity. This study updates technical principles and results of 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT) in localized carcinoma of the prostate. Between January 1992 and December 1999, 312 patients were treated with 3D-CRT and 135 patients were treated with bilateral arcs standard radiation therapy (SRT) alone for clinical stage T1b-c or T2 histologically confirmed prostate cancer.
