BACKGROUND: Dermal drug delivery is becoming more common, as evidenced by the increased numbers of compounding pharmacies preparing topical products for chronic pain management. Consumers may not appreciate the potency or dangers associated with some of the drugs in these preparations. METHODS: We used the National Inpatient Sample to retrospectively identify all cases of ICH in the USA over the period 2004-2014. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this article is to illustrate the usefulness and limitations of CT virtual endoscopy in the evaluation of large airway disease.
CONCLUSION: CT virtual endoscopy is a postprocessing tool that is easy to perform and that can aid in depicting disorders of the large airways without additional radiation or cost other than added time in postprocessing. The benefits of this technique include noninvasive diagnostic surveillance and preoperative planning.
