Thyrocytes were isolated from porcine thyroid glands using a new method entailing two-step collagenase digestion and Percoll gradient centrifugation. Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP) is a recessively transmitted disorder of man characterized by increased sensitivity to ultraviolet light. Four equine herpesviruses (equine abortion virus, equine herpesvirus types 2 and 3, and equine cytomegalovirus) were compared.
