The effects of different concentrations of copper sulfate on diploid and triploid fin cell lines (named DIMF and TRMF, respectively) in Misgurnus anguillicaudatus were studied. The LC50 of copper sulfate estimated by an MTT assay was 268.39 in DIMF cells, and 311.54 μmol/L in TRMF cells, respectively. PREMISE OF THE STUDY: Hybridization between diploids and tetraploids can lead to new allopolyploid species, often via a triploid intermediate. We report the cytogenetic findings in a rare tumor, a malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the gallbladder. Four related clones, two near-diploid and two near-tetraploid, which appeared to have been formed by a doubling of the near-diploid clones, were present. Mosaicism for autosomal trisomy is uncommon in clinical practice. However, despite its rarity among both prenatally and postnatally diagnoses, there are a large number of characterized and published cases.
