PURPOSE: To report the unexpected finding of a primary retinal B-cell lymphoma in a patient with previous breast carcinoma and subsequent lymphoma of the stomach.
METHODS: Histopathologic and immunohistochemical findings in the enucleated eye are described in conjunction with clinical features and investigations.

Enlargement of the left eye, corneal opacification, and blindness were clinical signs of a teratoid medulloepithelioma in a 5-year-old Standardbred mare. Diagnosis was made on histologic examination of the enucleated eye. Medulloepitheliomas are congenital intraocular tumors arising from primitive ciliary body epithelium. Their development is rare in domestic animals.

Ultrasonography and cytologic examination of the vitreous aspirate established the correct pre-enucleation diagnosis of medulloepithelioma in the case of an 8-year-old boy. Choroidal melanoma with ciliary body involvement is rare, especially in young adults and Asians. Here, we report the case of a young, healthy Chinese woman who complained of decreased vision in the left eye for one week. Her ocular examination and imaging were suggestive of choroidal melanoma involving the ciliary body. The patient underwent enucleation of the left eye. Close monitoring was needed, as the involvement of the ciliary body in choroidal melanoma is associated with a high risk of metastasis.

A 71-year old woman complains of painless inflammation, discharge and decreased vision at the right eye since two weeks. Eight years before she was operated at this eye for a nasally located pterygium and received adjuvant radiotherapy. A 13-year-old boy developed endophthalmitis from traumatic inoculation of vegetable material penetrating his right eye. Sporothrix schenckii was morphologically identified from the intraocular fluids. However, repeated attempts to culture the organism proved negative. Seventeen sporotrical endophthalmitis cases have so far been reported, and before this report, only one of them was secondary to trauma. This is the sole eye to our knowledge not only to have escaped enucleation after sporotrical endophthalmitis but to have achieved useful (20/50) vision.

INTRODUCTION: Melanotic schwannoma (MS) is a rare neoplasm composed of Schwann cells with melanosomes in various maturation stages. While MS is typically observed in spinal nerve roots or peripheral nerves, their involvement in intraocular structures is uncommon. Here, we present a case of spontaneous globe rupture as the presenting feature of intraocular extension of a MS.
METHODS: Enucleation was performed to remove the lesion. Confirmatory light microscopy and immunohistochemistry were used to properly diagnose and differentiate from conventional schwannoma and uveal malignant melanoma.
