This study determined the effect of orexin B (OXB) on the porcine endometrial transcriptome during the embryo attachment phase. Microarray analyses of gene ontology (GO), biological pathways, networks and differentially expressed genes (DEG) were performed. BACKGROUND: Skin-to-skin care immediately following delivery is a common practice for term infants and has been shown to improve cardiorespiratory stability, facilitate early bonding, and promote breastfeeding. Since 2007, the use of skin-to-skin care has been practiced for preterm infants from 32 weeks of gestation in the delivery room at St. Olav's University Hospital. CASE REPORT: A 40-year-old man received a bone graft from a donor who tested negative for HbsAg with a static-mode assay. The same donor, on a subsequent donation, was found to be HbsAg-positive with a dynamic mode assay. The archival sample from the initial donation also tested HbsAg-positive with the dynamic-mode assay. The recipient of the bone, who had received HBV vaccine in the past, did not develop clinical or laboratory evidence of HBV infection.
