Iliac arterial injuries are rare but important complications that can develop after spinal surgery. The presentation of these injuries is usually late, with symptoms such as leg swelling or cardiac failure. However, acute massive bleeding may be a sign of early presentation as in our patient. Herein, we present a case of life-threatening bleeding with early computed tomography angiographic diagnosis of common iliac artery pseudoaneurysm and iliac arteriovenous fistula secondary to spinal surgery which was successfully managed by endovascular stent graft treatment.

OBJECTIVE: Injury to the gastrocnemius muscle (tennis leg) is a presenting complaint often associated with athletic pursuits. Despite that label, this form of injury is likely to be common to a variety of salaried and nonsalaried pursuits beyond sports.
METHOD: We describe the presentation and management of two cases of "tennis leg" injury occurring in an occupational rather than athletic setting and review the relevant medical literature.

Lower extremity fractures are relatively common in winter sports. This retrospective descriptive study evaluated the demographics, injury mechanisms, and environmental factors associated with lower leg fractures (below the knee, excluding tibial plateau and fibular head fractures) among patients treated at a Colorado clinic during the 2012/13 to 2016/17 ski seasons. The results of treatment of 55 patients, suffering iatrogenic damage of the main vessels, which constitute 22.4% of all damages of vessels occurred during last ten years, were analyzed. The causes of the vessels iatrogenic damage were analyzed in detail. A favorable result achievement, a vessel integrity restoration with maintenance of the vascular tube passability have become possible in 50 (90.9%) patients due to early and technically adequate operation conduction. The extremity amputation was performed in 2 (3.6%) patients, 3 (5.5%) patients died.

Compound fractures of the lower limb with skin and bone loss are difficult repair problems, especially in multiple level injuries. With bone loss between 6 and 12 cms, the deep circumflex iliac artery (DCIA) flap is usually the flap of choice in reconstruction; the aim is to carry out microvascular anastomosis of the flap vessels to vessels on the damaged leg. BACKGROUND: The management of a high voltage electrical injury and lower limb salvage remains a challenging task for plastic surgeons. We report about 48 patients who sustained a deceleration trauma after jumping out of a window.
