This article is a study by light and electron microscopy of a case of desmoplastic malignant melanoma that attempts to resolve the conflict in views regarding the nature of the cells responsible for the desmoplasia associated with this clinico-pathologic entity. The study aimed at assessing cancer risk in a cohort of workers employed in the rubber tire production. The cohort consisted of 17,747 workers (11,660 men and 6087 women) employed in a rubber tire plant for at least three months during the years 1950-1995. The cohort follow-up was completed on December 31, 1995. Deaths by causes were analyzed using standardized mortality ratio (SMR) calculated by the person-years method. We report the unusual case of a baby with a paramedian cleft of the lower lip. In 1976, Tessier described a classification of craniofacial clefts based on personal observations, and he predicted the possibility of further clefts being discovered by labeling midline mandibular clefts "30." This case of a paramedian cleft of the lower lip would fit into what could be a new Tessier 28/29 cleft. In the future, clefts in new locations around the mouth may be seen, thus filling the gaps in Tessier's classification.

Total lower lip reconstruction can be performed with double cross-lip flaps. This simple technique gives satisfactory results both functionally and cosmetically. One clinical case is reported and the different procedures of total lower lip reconstruction are discussed.

To assess whether estimated dietary microplastic (MP) intake is linked to age-standardized lip and oral cavity cancer rates at the country level, independent of smoking, alcohol, socioeconomic status, and urbanization, we conducted a cross-sectional ecological study across 106 countries (2020 anchor year). There is little information in the English-language literature regarding Warthin's tumour (WT) in the eastern-Chinese population. A large retrospective study (1084 primary tumours over a period of 18years) was carried out to investigate the clinicopathological features (patients' gender, age and tumour location) of these tumours in this population.
