An 80-year-old woman presented with a mass in her left parotid region. An ultrasound-guided core biopsy showed sebaceous glands with lymphoplasmacytic infiltration. Magnetic resonance imaging displayed a well-circumscribed lesion within the left parotid gland. The mass was completely excised, and the patient made a full recovery. We report an additional case of a female patient in her late 40s who presented with a 2.5-year history of right-sided face swelling in the preauricular region. Cystatin D encoded by Cst5 is a salivary classified type II cystatin. We investigated the dynamism of cystatin D by examining the distribution of cystatin D protein and mRNA in rats, to identify novel functions. Haemangiomas are most commonly found in skin and subcutaneous tissue and are very rare in intramuscular region. Paraspinal musculature has been barely reported as location of intramuscular haemangioma while we could not find any literature reporting haemangioma in cervical paraspinal previously. Two cases of lipomatosis of the parotid salivary gland in two dogs are reported. Both dogs were presented with a slow growing unilateral non-painful mass in the parotid region.
