Individualized C1-2 intra-articular three-dimensional printed porous titanium alloy cage for craniovertebral deformity.

BACKGROUND: Congenital craniovertebral deformity, including basilar invagination (BI) and atlantoaxial instability (AAI), are often associated with three-dimensional (3D) deformity, such as C1-2 rotational deformity, craniocervical kyphosis, C1 lateral inclination, among other abnormalities. Effective management of these conditions requires the restoration of the 3D alignment to achieve optimal reduction. Recently, 3D printing technology has emerged as a valuable tool in spine surgery, offering the significant advantage of allowing surgeons to customize the prosthesis design. This innovation p

Two-Year Survivorship and Outcomes of a Three-Dimensional Printed Metaphyseal Cone in the Setting of Revision Total Knee Arthroplasty.

Poor metaphyseal fixation secondary to bone loss in revision total knee arthroplasty (TKA) continues to be challenging. One technique to increase implant stability is the use of novel three-dimensional (3D) printed titanium metaphyseal cones with adjunctive stems for added fixation. However, the survival of these novel constructs is poorly understood. Therefore, we sought to examine 3D-printed titanium metaphyseal cone components in revision TKA for aseptic as well as septic reasons and aimed to evaluate: (1) revision-free survivorships; (2) patient-reported outcomes measures (PROMs); (3) post

Biomimetic Photocurable Three-Dimensional Printed Nerve Guidance Channels with Aligned Cryomatrix Lumen for Peripheral Nerve Regeneration.

Repair and regeneration of critically injured peripheral nerves is one of the most challenging reconstructive surgeries. Currently available and FDA approved nerve guidance channels (NGCs) are suitable for small gap injuries, and their biological performance is inferior to that of autografts. Development of biomimetic NGCs with clinically relevant geometrical and biological characteristics such as topographical, biochemical, and haptotactic cues could offer better regeneration of the long-gap complex nerve injuries. Here, in this study, we present the development and preclinical analysis of th
