The study describes degradation of two azo dyes at low and high frequency ultrasound (US) to compare their reactivity and to assess the impacts of frequency, OH, chemical structure and soluble/nonsoluble additives. Low frequency US alone was found totally ineffective for bleaching the dyes even after 2-h irradiation, while high frequency provided significant color decay in 30-min contact. This study aims to observe the histopathological alterations in schistosomula of Schistosoma japonicum induced by mefloquine. Mice were infected with S. japonicum cercariae, and after 14 days, a single dose of mefloquine (400 mg/kg) was administered orally. Inspired by the diverse properties of hydrogen sulfide, iron sulfide, and iron hydrides, we combine first-principles calculations with structure prediction to find stable structures of Fe-S-H ternary compounds with various FexSyHz (x = 1-2; y = 1-2; z = 1-6) compositions under high pressure with the aim of finding novel functional materials. Maisonneuve fractures result from a disruption of the medial ankle structures and a proximal fibular fracture. Patient complaints can be misleading and there is a significant rate of delayed diagnosed injuries. We present a case of bilateral Maisonneuve fractures after a fall due to a syncopal collapse. We used the retinal cryoprobe in the surgical management (biopsy and excision) of orbital and ocular adnexal tumors in four patients.
