AIM: The aim of this study is to evaluate patients' tolerance to pain caused by urethrocystoscopy (UCS) in both diagnosis and the period of follow-up in patients with superficial bladder cancer, and to evaluate these results with respect to quality of life.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Between March 2003 and October 2004, 66 patients with bladder cancer or hematuria underwent UCS and recorded their overall pain level.

We want to make a literature review about the bladder foreign bodies. This clinical situation is not an usual emergency, but there are a lot of references in urological articles about it. A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of the antispasmodic flavoxate (600 mg. daily) was carried out in 60 patients suffering from painful conditions of the lower urinary tract arising from inflammation and/or infection or from spasm following diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. PURPOSE: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of retrograde placement of single-J stent guided by a flexible cystoscope for management of ureteroenteral anastomotic stricture in patients after radical cystectomy and Bricker urinary diversion.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Between January 2008 and June 2012, 11 patients with ureteroenteral anastomotic stricture after open radical cystectomy and Bricker urinary diversion were enrolled in this study. All patients were treated with retrograde placement of single-J stent guided by a flexible cystoscope. A 7F single-J stent was placed for 6 weeks.
