A cytologic study was done in three groups of patients, either for screening purposes or for the follow up of vesical tumors already treated by transurethral resection or cystectomy. The reliability of urinary cytology is closely related to the degree of tumor anaplasia (81,8% positive cytology in grade III tumors). When a cytologic and cystoscopic follow-up is done, the results of these two methods are in agreement in 60% of the cases. Isolated brains of 40 hours-old chick embryos are treated by actinomycin D or puromycin solutions at various concentrations and during a relatively short time. Actinomycin D induced ocular malformations varying from subnormal types to anophthalmy. Above a certain concentration, it inhibits lens development. Puromycin is less powerful and determines microphthalmy and synophthalmy, with lens formation in all cases. It seems that actinomycin D could diffuse from the brain to the optic vesicles and inhibit their inductive influence upon the lentogen placodes.

The authors report on a static and dynamic study of the lig. collaterale radiale. The essential role of the middle bundle, which can always be isolated on fresh cadaver, is stressed. A new theory on the mechanism of elbow dislocation is thus justified. By analogy with recurring dislocations of the shoulder, the authors consider that operations attempting to reestablish the tension of this ligament are justified. The intra nuclear and intra cytoplasmic inclusions described in osteoclasts in PAGET's bone disease are morphologically similar to those observed in subacute sclerosing panencephalitis. Immunological techniques using different specific immune sera demonstrate the presence of an antigenic structure of viral origin in osteoclasts in PAGET's bone disease.
