PURPOSE: To study the expression and significance of pericytes and TGF-β in infantile parotid hemangioma.
METHODS: The expressions of pericytes and TGF-β at protein level were examined in 76 cases of infant parotid hemangioma by strep avidin-biotin complex (SABC) immunohistochemical technique. All statistical analysis were performed using SPSS 13.0 statistical package. The relationship between the expression of pericytes and TGF-β and clinical phase of hemangioma was analyzed by using Chi-square test. BACKGROUND: Although there have been a few reports dealing with the sarcomatous changes of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, its clinicopathologic features as well as immunohistochemical nature remain obscure.
METHODS: Among 155 cases of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, 7 cases of sarcomatous cholangiocarcinoma were chosen. Immunohistochemical studies using the avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex method were performed on these cases.
