BACKGROUND: Vulvovaginitis, balanitis, and related genital infections are common in patients with type 2 diabetes. Glucosuria, which is an outcome of treatment with sodium glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, is among the possible causes. Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor with demonstrated glycemic benefits in patients with diabetes, has been studied across a broad spectrum of patients. Tecadenoson is a novel selective A1 adenosine receptor agonist that is currently being evaluated for the conversion of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT) to sinus rhythm. BACKGROUND: The design of clinical trials in rare diseases is often complicated by a lack of real-world translational knowledge. Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP) is an ultra-rare genetic disorder characterized by skeletal malformations and progressive heterotopic ossification (HO).
