For the determination of organo-tin residues in edible vegetable oil, a method was developed based on gas chromatography-mass spectrometric (GC-MS) with positive chemical ionization (PCI). Macrocyclic natural products, particularly those with no functionalities except unsaturation, are recognized for their therapeutic potential but are notoriously challenging to synthesize. In this study, we report the first total synthesis of an unconventional 18-membered, C25 macrocyclic terpenoid, which has demonstrated substantial immunosuppressive activity. This synthesis was achieved through strategic modifications and innovative reaction engineering, utilizing α-terpineol and geraniol as starting materials, highlighting a novel approach in macrocyclic terpenoid synthesis.

In this study, lemon peels were used as volatile component source. Automatic solvent extraction has been used for the recovery of limonene rich citrus volatile extract for the first time. Photolysis is a known dissipation pathway of pesticides on leaves just after their spraying. This pathway may be affected by the residues of other pesticides. To illustrate this idea, this study investigated the mutual effect of two pesticides (chlorothalonil and cycloxydim) under simulated solar light. The paper provides the results of examining the insecticidal activity of the commercial agents oradelt and omait against rodent fleas. The two agents have been ascertained to have a high toxicity for fleas of various species and genera. The field trials have shown that oradelt has a dusticidal effect in the habitats of mountain suslik. The oradelt dust containing 0.05% of the active ingredient should be recommended for controlling fleas in the foci of the suslik-type plague.
