Laminated safety glass (LSG) is a composite assembly of glass and polyvinyl butyral (PVB), a viscoelastic polymer. LSG can be found in building facades and in all major forms of transportation. Yet, the assembly suffers from unwanted bubbles which are anathema to one of the most important features of glass: optical transparency. Detecting suppression is important for monitoring change in and determining surgical timing for intermittent exotropia. Here, we evaluate the results of a prospective, cross-sectional study of the "polarized glasses dissociation test" for detection of suppression.
