Distinctive asymmetry of the labia minora is an underestimated complication that can be congenital, post-traumatic, or occur after oncological intervention or aesthetic labioplasty. Affected women can be restricted functionally and in their sense of self-worth, aesthetic appearance and sexual life. In presenting this case of post-oncological labia minora asymmetry, we demonstrate our method of the two-stage posterior cross-labial transposition flap as a reliable technique for unilateral labium minus reconstruction.

Transperineal exposure of the high portion of the vagina is limited. These limitations can be circumvented using ASTRA (anterior sagittal transrectal approach). We report the use of this surgical strategy for the treatment of a case of acquired vaginal atresia after posterior anorectoplasty due to anorectal malformation.

The results of the surgical treatment of 21 consecutive patients with posthysterectomy vesicovaginal fistulas admitted in Second gynaecology clinic of the University Hospital of Ob&Gyn in Sofia between 1993 and 2006 are presented. 19 of the patients had no previous attempts of repair, 2 had 2 and 4 failed attempts for surgical repair respectively. OBJECTIVE: To describe the successful construction of a neovagina with the peritoneum from the anterior abdominal wall for six hypermicrosomic patients diagnosed with Rokitansky syndrome.
MATERIAL & METHODS: A neovagina was created using peritoneum from the anterior abdominal wall.
RESULTS: The mean depth of the neovaginas was 11 cm and the diameter was 2.5 cm. The mucosa of the neovaginas was pinkish and had a moist surface. No intraoperative or postoperative complications were observed. The patients enjoyed sexual activity after the operation.

PURPOSE: To look at the presentation and management of labial hypertrophy in 2 young adolescents.
TYPE OF STUDY: Case report
MAIN FINDINGS: We present two cases, a 10-year-old girl with concerns regarding a hypertrophied labia minora and a 12-year-old girl with spina bifida and difficulty in performing intermittent catheterization because of the hypertrophied labia. We discuss a simple technique for reduction labioplasty and the different surgical options.
CONCLUSION: Hypertrophy of one or both labia minora can lead to functional, social, esthetic and sexual problems in females of all ages.

This series reports the outcomes and significant complications associated with the rectus myocutaneous flap when used for pelvic or inguinal reconstruction in patients with gynecologic cancers. Perioperative variables were retrospectively reviewed to identify social and medical risk factors as well as intraoperative and postoperative complications that predisposed to rectus flap failure. Fifteen patients with gynecologic malignancies underwent reconstructive procedures using a vertically oriented rectus abdominis myocutaneous flap for either vaginal (n = 14) or inguinal (n = 1) reconstruction.
