Anticipation and suspicion are critical aspects to any discussion of intrauterine adhesions. Curettage between the second and fourth week postpartum is more likely to cause adhesions than is any other endometrial trauma. Infertility, recurrent abortion, or menstrual aberrations after any uterine trauma should cause the physician to suspect the presence of intrauterine adhesions. During therapy of anovulatory infertility, percentage of pregnancies is lower than the ovulation rate. Cause of this phenomenon is connected as well with the inadequate corpus luteum as others anomalies of the genital tract. A variety of conservative surgical techniques is available for the termination of ectopic pregnancy with preservation of the tube. We report on a new treatment by means of intratubal prostaglandin F2 alpha application followed by intramuscular administration of a prostaglandin E2 derivative (sulprostone) for 3 days. Intrauterine adhesions (Asherman syndrome) are rare and mainly seen after delivery or abortion in the presence of retained placental tissue. This descriptive study aimed to identify common risk factors for intrauterine adhesions. In a 10-year period 61 women were identified with intrauterine adhesions. The pathology was suspected from symptoms, ultrasonography or on hysterosalpingography, but a final diagnosis could only be given after hysteroscopy. Uterine anomalies are associated with unilateral renal aplasia. We present the MR features of five cases with 'double' uteri. The anomalies consisted of four cases of uterus didelphys and one of a complete septate uterus. All the cases with uterus didelphys also had a longitudinal vaginal septum. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical value of ultrasonography via vaginal in diagnosing uterine anomalies.
METHODS: Patients in Infertility Clinic were scanned by endovaginal sonography. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) or hysteroscopy were performed in patients with uterine anomalies confirmed by ultrasonography.
RESULTS: Twenty patients had uterine anomalies. Of them, 10 had double uterus, 4 had bicornuate uterus, 3 arcuate uterus, 2 septate uterus, and the other 1 unicornuate uterus.

In 1973 (19 years prior to procedure), the patient had an artificial abortion and since then has not been able to conceive. Two hundred and fifty of 323 laparoscopically sterilized patients had hysterosalpingographic (HSG) follow-up. A Foley catheter was used in hysterosalpingography. Of these patients, 3.6 per cent demonstrated fistula; 1.2 per cent were found to have round ligament burns, and 0.618 per cent became pregnant. Presented is a series of 190 primary infertility patients with patent Fallopian tubes and no obvious cause for infertility. Uterine contour was demonstrated by hysterosalpingogram and subsequently classified by Jarcho's classification of uterine abnormalities. An analysis of the results revealed a 74.21% incidence of uterine anomalies.
