The OPPIuM technique: office hysteroscopic technique for the preparation of partially intramural leiomyomas.

Uterine fibroids, also known as leiomyomas, represent the most common benign tumors of the female genital tract. Submucosal leiomyomas are classified into three grades: G0, GI, GII according to the degree of their intramural proportion. A recently developed technique enables the preparation of G1 and G2 leiomyomas for their subsequent successful resection in a second step. The OPPIuM (office preparation of partially intramural leiomyomas) technique aims to downgrade type I and II leiomyomas, in order to facilitate a subsequent easier and safer resectoscopy. Hysteroscopic resection of large GI

Use of a hysteroscopic morcellator to resect miscarriage in a woman with recurrent Asherman's syndrome.

Uterine curettage may result in formation of intrauterine adhesions, which can predispose to recurrent miscarriage [1]. Herein is presented a video case report of a 24-year-old woman with recurrent miscarriages and recurrent intrauterine adhesions after treatment of non-progressive pregnancies. Targeted intrauterine pregnancy tissue removal using a hysteroscopic morcellator was performed to reduce the risk of adhesion recurrence. Successful removal of products of conception, without subsequent adhesion formation, and an ongoing viable pregnancy followed. Selective targeted removal of products

Hysteroscopic management of residual trophoblastic tissue and reproductive outcome: a pilot study.

We report on the feasibility, efficiency, and reproductive outcomes of hysteroscopic resection of late residual trophoblastic tissue in 50 patients in an observational study over 6 years. Complete evacuation of the uterus was achieved in all patients by hysteroscopy. The median operative time was 21 (15-30) min. Only one surgical complication was registered: a uterine perforation in a patient with previous metroplasty. Hysteroscopic resection of persistent trophoblastic tissue seems to be a safe and efficient procedure that could be proposed as an alternative to conventional non-selective blin
