Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma following infliximab therapy for Crohn's disease.

Tumour necrosis factor inhibitors have revolutionised the management of Crohn's disease, but reports of a possible association between concomitant infliximab and immunomodulator therapy and hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma (a rare form of aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) have emerged. We describe the first case in Australia of hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma in a patient who had been treated with infliximab and immunomodulators for Crohn's disease.

Sustained clinical response to infliximab in refractory Cronkhite-Canada syndrome.

A 59-year-old man with refractory Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) had poor clinical response to high-dose intravenous steroids, azathioprine, total parenteral nutrition and best supportive care. He remained highly symptomatic with abdominal pain, diarrhoea, recurrent sepsis and profound weight loss. Large Bowel Progressive Stricture after Infliximab Therapy for Crohn's Disease.

This case report refers to a 31-year-old patient with an 11-year history of Crohn's disease. The patient presented with an edematous elevated lesion in the splenic flexure. Two histological analyses revealed no signs of obvious dysplasia, and the patient subsequently began infliximab treatment. Nine months later, a worsening of the stricture of the edematous elevated lesion was observed in the splenic flexure, and transverse colonic resection was performed.
