OBJECTIVES: In this study we report a new endoscopic technique for the management of anterior glottic web (AGW). Previously, various procedures with endoscopic or open surgical approaches have been described for the treatment of symptomatic AGW. We present an original, highly effective endoscopic technique that seems to have several advantages over traditional approaches.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: The purpose of this review is to discuss the available energy sources used in the vaginal canal that are currently being promoted for certain pelvic floor conditions and explore the body of peer-reviewed literature supporting their use.
RECENT FINDINGS: The majority of research has focused on the use of fractional CO2 laser treatment for genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). Most of these studies are nonrandomized prospective studies, but their data consistently shows an improvement in symptoms without significant side effects.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: To compare choriocapillaris (CC) flow voids (FVs) throughout the macula in patients with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and geographic atrophy (GA) to age-similar controls using swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA).
PATIENTS AND METHODS: In this cross-sectional study, 12 subjects with GA secondary to nonexudative AMD and 12 age-similar controls participated. SS-OCTA was performed using a 6 mm × 6 mm scanning pattern. CC FVs were calculated using a one-standard deviation thresholding method developed from a normal database.

Burn injuries often lead to hypertrophic scars (HTS), which negatively affect quality of life and skin function. A 53-year-old white woman presented to our clinic with skin lesions in the anogenital region that had persisted for 1 year. She had a past medical history of total vulvectomy for a vulvar localization of Bowen's disease. She was otherwise in good health, with no evidence of illness or immunosuppression. Physical examination revealed multiple erythematous papular lesions located in the anogenital region (Figure 1). Dermatoscopy of the anogenital papules revealed glomerular vessels on an erythematous background typical of Bowen's disease (Figure 2A). There were no palpable inguinal lymph nodes.

The use of fractional lasers in mixed race patients has always been a challenge. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or worsening of existing melasma is a risk and its presence can be unpredictable. The authors present their experience in patients with Fitzpatrick skin types IV to VI using fractional lasers. Pre- and post-laser regimens to avoid complications are presented and results are evaluated.
