Hydrocele of the spermatic cord is a rare anomaly which occurs when closure of processus vaginalis was hampered. There are two variations of a spermatic cord hydrocele: the encysted variety that does not communicate with the peritoneal cavity and the funicular variety that communicates with the peritoneal cavity. This case report depicts the clinical investigation and management of a rare case of encysted spermatic cord hydrocele in a 3-year-old boy. Surgery is indicated if noncommunicating scrotal hydrocele does not resolve by 12-18 months of age or if it becomes larger in size.

Abdominal pregnancies are a small fraction of ectopic pregnancies. They usually implant on the peritoneal surface after partial disruption of the initial implantation site in the tubes. The pelvic cavity is the preferential site, but they have been reported from all over the peritoneal cavity. In the present case the pregnancy was situated on the surface of the right liver lobe. Abdominal pregnancies usually present with acute hemoperitoneum and the pre-operative diagnosis is extremely difficult. The possible role of IUDs as an etiological factor is briefly discussed.

Peritoneal metastasis is the result of a complex, stepwise process that involves multiple, spatially and temporally distinct interactions between the primary cancer, disseminated cancer cells or clusters, and the mesothelial lining of the peritoneal cavity and intraperitoneal organs. The biology of peritoneal metastasis, long a neglected field of research, is now increasingly being unraveled. Here, we provide an update on the mechanisms that drive the journey that eventually leads to widespread peritoneal metastatic disease.

The work discusses the results of the effect of intraoperative treatment of the abdominal cavity with a magnetite suspension on the T-cell link of the immunological reactivity of the organism of patients with diffuse forms of peritonitis. The preparation intensified lymphocyte proliferative activity. It was found that increase of the lymphocyte stimulation index in intraoperative treatment of the abdominal cavity with magnetite suspension in peritonitis was consequent upon increased production of interleukin-1 and other growth factors by macrophages.

We report the uncommon occurrence of ventriculo-peritoneal shunt-associated peritoneal metastases in two patients with pineoblastoma. In one patient, the peritoneal cavity was the only site of recurrence; there was no evidence of disease recurrence in the central nervous system. INTRODUCTION: Spontaneous bladder rupture is a rare condition, especially after a nontraumatic vaginal delivery.
CASE PRESENTATION: A 32-year-old patient who had had a nontraumatic vaginal delivery presented to the emergency room with abdominal pain and anuria.
