Anhedonia is one of the non-motor symptoms observed in the Parkinson's disease (PD). However, there is no clear relationship between anhedonia and its correlation with other symptoms of PD. Successful treatment of a case of unconsummated marriage involved the expertise of a urologist, gynecologist, and psychologist working together in an interdisciplinary clinic to treat sexual dysfunction. Total duration of treatment was 18 months, and components included surgical correction of congenital chordee, surgical excision of a hymenal remnant blocking the vaginal introitus, laser treatment of endometriosis, and sex therapy evaluation and follow-up totalling five sessions for both partners. At the end of treatment the couple was having pleasurable sexual intercourse.

Recent work on principles of pleasure and on endogenous opioïd system enlightens some regulations of mental comfort and of homeostasis of the nervous system. From this point of view, the choice of specific drugs, during the first months of their use, would give an indirect picture of the troubles which caused initially the use of these substances. The present study discloses, behind the apparent anarchy of mono- and polytoxicopathies, some constant relations between age and sex of drug-users and specific choice of drugs.

Ben Wa balls are often used for sexual pleasure and pelvic floor exercise. However, their use can lead to complications, including retention within the vagina. We present a case of a 64-year-old female, status post-hysterectomy 20 years prior, who experienced the loss of a Ben Wa ball during sexual activity. Despite multiple retrieval attempts, the ball remained retained until she was transferred to a facility with an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN), who was able to successfully retrieve the lost ball.

The clitoris has a crucial role in the feminine pleasure. Chronic inflammatory dermatosis along with post-menopausal atrophy of the vulva and obstetrical traumas can cause clitoral phimosis, thereby compromising its function. Medical treatments exist depending on the etiology, but when irreversible scarring occur, a surgical treatment can be necessary to regain its function. We present here our surgical technique that achieves excellent functional results with low morbidity and the outcome of our patients in order to improve this sexual dysfunction.

Four female subjects were admitted to our Department for a form of severe systo-diastolic hypertension, recalcitrant to previous anti-hypertensive treatment, accompanied by marked hypokalemia. Patients had a common history of the continuous use, for pleasure or medicinal purposes, of liquorice-based preparations. In all cases, suspension led to normalisation of kalemia in a period varying from six to fifteen days, while arterial pressure values and all other essential parameters examined (plasma reninic activity, aldosteronuria, etc.) recovered their balance more slowly.

A foreign body of the urinary bladder can be caused by several factors. Several patients deliberately insert foreign bodies via the urethra due to psychiatric issues to achieve sexual pleasure. We interviewed 9 sexually active women about sexual function before and after radical cystectomy. Of the women 6 also had received preoperative irradiation. Seven women resumed sexual activity. All subjects experienced dyspareunia on initial attempts but 6 had overcome the pain at followup 6 to 37 months postoperatively. These women were coitally orgasmic and reported no decrease in pleasure or change in the type of sexual stimulation required to produce orgasm. The results provide knowledge about the physiology of female orgasm and a basis for counseling patients.
