Coronary flow reserve, exercise thallium-201 scintigraphy and exercise radionuclide ventriculography were compared in 18 patients with chest pain and angiographically normal coronary arteries. The case reported analyses the instantaneous revascularisation distal to a coronary spasm by electrocardiography and thallium scintigraphy. In order to evaluate the usefulness of thallium-201 (201TI) myocardial scintigraphy in delineating the location and size of prior myocardial infarction, 32 patients were evaluated at a mean of 7 +/- 2 months after infarction with a 12-lead ECG, resting 201TI myocardial scintigram, biplane left ventriculogram and coronary angiograms. Blunt trauma to the renal pelvis is exceedingly rare and such trauma of the ureter is only slightly more common. INTRODUCTION: Immediate recognition of anastomotic failure is important to ensure the viability of the vascularised fibular graft. The problems associated with post-operative bone scanning and angiography for immediate detection of anastomotic failure have been described.

We report and attempt to classify a previously undescribed coronary artery anomaly. Our patient had all three coronary arteries arising from a common ostium in the right sinus of Valsalva, with an unusual distribution to the left coronary artery system: the anomalous left circumflex system taking an intraseptal (intramyocardial) course and the anomalous left anterior descending system taking an interarterial (between the great vessels) course.

In this review we attempted to demonstrate the imaging appearance of the spectrum of entities that may involve the spleen. The systematic approach reviewing the radiologic findings by modality (plain films, ultrasound, CT, scintigraphy, angiography, and MRI) has been used. We describe five patients with lower gastrointestinal bleeding with negative endoscopy who subsequently proved to have sources of bleeding in the rectum close to the anal verge. The failure to identify such sources of bleeding via the endoscope was due to endoscopic geometry within the rectum, limited colonic preparation possible in the massively bleeding bowel, endoscopic inexperience, and a low clinical suspicion for very distal lesions. We discuss appropriate application of the available diagnostic techniques and methods to avoid endoscopic diagnostic failures in low rectal hemorrhage.
