Forty-three patients with primary, secondary and hereditary amyloidosis at different stages of renal lesions (proteinuric, nephrotic, chronic renal failure) were examined for the count and size of peripheral blood platelets. BACKGROUND: Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a common hereditary disorder with unclear disease mechanism. Currently, overt hypertension and increased renal volume are the best predictors of renal function. The paper presents experimental results of the study of kidney defense from normothermic ischemia and operative stress in interventions with stopping renal circulation. The antiischemic effect of emoxipin was studied in monotherapy and in combination with furosemide and verapamil. A case with a probable diagnosis of a limited form of Wegener's granulomatosis is presented. Arteriography of an involved kidney revealed arterial occlusions and stenoses with infarcted parenchymal regions and a distinct collateral circulation. Compared to the renal changes in other collagenous diseases, the renovasographic findings in this case were more prominent, more centrally located, and of segmental distribution.

Two adult patients with Henoch-Schoenlein purpura and rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis were treated with plasmapheresis. One patient also received cyclophosphamide. A Duplex-Scanner was used to screen 62 patients with severe hypertension, queried renovascular.
