Congenital megalourethra is a malformation of the male urethra with a major dilatation of its penile part without obstruction downwards. It is either due to hypoplasia ore agenesia of spongy tissue. Two types are described, scaphoide and fusiform types, according to the presence or the absence of erectile tissue. Megalourethra is a rare condition, and 55 cases were previously reported until 1987. A new case of this severe anomaly is reported and management discussed.

A tubed, free skin graft was used to construct a urethra in 49 young male subjects. Indications included 1) multiple previous hypospadias operations, 2) new severe hypospadias cases, 3) chordee without hypospadias but with a short urethra, 4) epispadias, 5) distal urethral stricture and 6) a small number of patients undergoing an initial operation for hypospadias by the Horton-Devine technique. Manual segmentations are considered the gold standard for ground truth in machine learning applications. Such tasks are tedious and time-consuming, albeit necessary to train reliable models. We report a case of primary melanoma of a female urethra diagnosed at a non-metastatic stage in a 48-year-old patient with a history of breast carcinoma treated with radiotherapy and hormone therapy. Urethral pathology is common in clinical practice and important to recognize. It is essential to recognize urethral pathology on imaging and to understand how to best image the urethra. In this way, the radiologist can provide the urologist with the necessary information prior to intervention. Basic knowledge of commonly performed urethral surgeries can help the radiologist understand the expected appearance of the post-treatment urethra and common postoperative complications.

Primary malignant melanoma of the urethra in women is a rare tumor with a poor prognosis. We report the case of a 48-year-old patient who consulted for a mass in the urethral meatus associated with symptoms of the lower urinary tract. The result of the biopsy of the mass revealed a malignant melanoma confirmed by immunohistochemistry. The extension workup was negative. She had a total cystectomy with lymph node dissection done. The one-year follow-up was without particularity.
