A Deep Reconstruction Framework with Ringing Artifact Suppression for Overexposed Remote Sensing Image Restoration.

Computational imaging shifts part of the aberration correction from optical hardware to algorithms, offering a viable path toward compact, simplified systems. However, overexposed regions-often caused by phenomena such as water-body reflections-can readily induce severe ringing artifacts in reconstructed images. To address this problem, we propose a Ringing-perceptive Cooperative Reconstruction Network (RPCR-Net). This network integrates a learned Wiener filter and a field-of-view shared kernel prediction network (FOV-KPN) for feature extraction and innovatively incorporates a combined regular

Machine learning-enabled multivariate optimization and model-inferred process associations in the co-precipitation synthesis of Y2O3 nanoparticles.

The co-precipitation synthesis of yttrium oxide (Y2O3) nanoparticles involves coupled precursor, acidity, dispersant, and thermal variables. We developed a machine-learning workflow to model average particle size from 30 MaxMin-sampled experiments in a six-dimensional process space. Nine regression algorithms were compared using leave-one-out prediction vectors with Bayesian hyperparameter optimization. The selected support vector regression model gave R2 = 0.83, RMSE = 20.82 nm, MAE = 16.63 nm, and MedAE = 15.38 nm. SHAP and LIME identified model-level associations among synthesis variables,

Development and internal validation of a machine learning-based prediction model for pulmonary hypertension in COPD.

BACKGROUND: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is frequently complicated by pulmonary hypertension (PH), which worsens prognosis, but early PH detection is limited by the invasiveness or suboptimal sensitivity of current diagnostic tools. METHODS: In this retrospective study, we analyzed 523 hospitalized patients with COPD from Beijing Chaoyang Hospital. After standardized preprocessing and recursive feature elimination, 18 routinely available noninvasive clinical and physiological variables were retained as predictors. Eight machine-learning algorithms were trained to predict PH an

Ga/Zn Single-Atom Nanozyme-Based Colorimetric Sensor Array for High-Throughput Identification of Tetracyclines.

The issue of tetracycline (TC) residues in the environment poses a serious threat to ecosystems and public health, therefore, there is an urgent need to develop efficient and convenient detection methods. This study successfully prepared Ga/Zn NC single-atom (SA) nanozymes with peroxidase-like catalytic activity. Based on the differential inhibitory effects of different TCs on the Ga/Zn NC SA nanozymes' catalytic activity, a three-channel colorimetric sensor array is constructed by regulating the temperature, resulting in differentiated colorimetric response signals for TCs. Combined with line

Joint infrared pupil images and near-corneal-plane spectral light exposure data under natural conditions.

Factors influencing pupil size can be experimentally controlled or held constant in laboratory experiments, but how the pupil reflects changes in retinal input from the visual environment in real-world viewing conditions has yet to be captured in a large, age-diverse sample. In this dataset, we address this research gap by collecting data in a hybrid field-laboratory experiment (N = 83, 43 female, age range 18-87 years) using a custom-built, wearable, video-based eye tracker with a spectroradiometer measuring spectral irradiance in the approximate corneal plane, resulting in 29,664 valid recor

Integrative Analysis of Mitochondrial-Related Genes Reveals Diagnostic Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets in Acute Pancreatitis.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is increasingly recognised as a critical contributor to acinar cell injury and systemic inflammation in acute pancreatitis (AP). However, comprehensive screening of mitochondrial-related genes (MRGs) and their mechanistic roles in AP progression remains limited. We integrated transcriptomic data with MRGs from the MitoCarta database. A total of 34 differentially expressed MRGs were identified, enabling classification of AP samples into three molecular subtypes with distinct immune cell infiltration patterns and clinical severity. Three hub genes were consistently iden

Detection of Alzheimer and mild cognitive impairment patients by Poincare and Entropy methods based on electroencephalography signals.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by deficits in cognition, behavior, and intellectual functioning, and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) refers to individuals whose cognitive impairment deviates from what is expected for their age but does not significantly interfere with daily activities. Because there is no treatment for AD, early prediction of AD can be helpful to reducing the progression of this disease. This study examines the Electroencephalography (EEG) signal of 3 distinct groups, including AD, MCI, and healthy individuals. Recognizing the non-stationary nature of EEG signals, t

Predicting and Early Detection of Delirium through Motion Patterns: A Narrative Review.

Delirium is a common acute neuropsychiatric syndrome, and its early detection may improve clinical outcomes. This narrative review synthesized findings from 11 original studies and two systematic reviews that employed wearable sensors (actigraphy) to predict or detect delirium. In surgical, intensive care unit, and geriatric populations, delirium has consistently been associated with disrupted rest-activity rhythms, including lower daytime activity, increased nighttime activity, and fragmented sleep-wake cycles. Characteristic motor patterns also differed based on the motor subtype (hyperactiv

MMPred: a tool to predict peptide mimicry events in MHC class II recognition.

We present MMPred, a software tool that integrates epitope prediction and sequence alignment algorithms to streamline the computational analysis of molecular mimicry events in autoimmune diseases. Starting with two protein or peptide sets (e.g., from human and SARS-CoV-2), MMPred facilitates the generation, investigation, and testing of mimicry hypotheses by providing epitope predictions specifically for MHC class II alleles, which are frequently implicated in autoimmunity. However, the tool is easily extendable to MHC class I predictions by incorporating pre-trained models from CNN-PepPred an
