BACKGROUND: In an epidemiological study, medical causes of death may be obtained from different sources. In a study on French gas and electricity company (EDF-GDF) workers, they were obtained from the national INSERM database. Additionally, the causes collected by the EDF-GDF occupational physicians were available for a subset of 1,330 deaths, which occurred between 1989 and 1994. The data from the two sources were compared with each other, in order to assess whether they were globally equivalent, and the potential impact of their differences on the results of epidemiological analyses.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: The accuracy of implant placement is a prerequisite for prosthetically driven implant surgery and is necessary to ensure the long-term stability of dental implants. Imprecise implant position may bring difficulties for restoration, damage anatomic structures, affect peri-implant tissues, and lead to ultimate implant failure.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this retrospective clinical study was to compare the accuracy of implants placed with an autonomous dental implant robotic (ADIR) system with those placed with static computer assisted implant surgery (sCAIS).

Within the last several years, spiral computed tomography angiography (SCTA) of the pulmonary arteries has emerged as a noninvasive angiographic modality for the evaluation of patients with suspected pulmonary embolism (PE). SCTA is based on continuous computed tomography (CT) data acquisition during patient transport through the rotating X-ray tube and detector system, where scanning is performed in the time period in which the injected contrast material passes through the pulmonary arteries. Single detector spiral CT has a sensitivity of approximately 85-90% and a specificity between 88-95%.

Bouveret syndrome occurs when a gallstone passes into the duodenum from a fistulous communication between the gallbladder and the duodenum. This is an uncommon cause of abdominal pain which is often diagnosed following surgery. Most imaging findings of Bouveret syndrome are limited to computed tomography. Duplication of the gallbladder is a rare congenital anomaly of the biliary system with the incidence of 1 in 3800. A 38-year-old woman visited our patient clinic for evaluation of wall thickening of the gallbladder, detected by abdominal ultrasonography during a regular medical checkup.
