ETHNOPHARMACOLOGICAL RELEVANCE: Psoralea corylifolia L. (Fabaceae) was a traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of various skin diseases such as psoriasis, vitiligo and chronic graft-versus-host, and has been proved to show anticancer, cytotoxic, anti-bacterial, cardiac, diaphoretic, diuretic, stimulant, aphrodisiac and tonic effects. Bakuchiol was one of the main active ingredients of this traditional Chinese medicine.
AIM OF THE STUDY: In this paper, pharmacokinetic study was conducted to obtain pharmacokinetic parameters of bakuchiol.

Panax notoginseng (Sanqi) is a cardiovascular herb containing ginsenosides that are believed to be responsible for the therapeutic effects of Sanqi. The aim of this study was to evaluate rat exposure to ginsenosides after oral administration of Sanqi extract and to identify the key factors affecting their absorption and disposition. The effects of prolonged oral administration of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and fumonisin B1 (FB1) mycotoxins were evaluated in broiler chickens from 21 to 42 d of age. A total of 192 birds were housed in experimental batteries and assigned to 32 cages, 6 birds per cage. The following treatments were applied: 1) 0 mycotoxins (control), 2) 10 mg of FB1, 3) 50 microg of AFB1, 4) 50 microg of AFB1 + 10 mg of FB1, 5) 350 microg of AFB1, 6) 350 microg of AFB1 + 10 mg of FB1, 7) 2,450 microg of AFB1, 8) 2,450 microg of AFB1 + 10 mg of FB1/kg of feed. OBJECTIVES: To compare the experience of pain, need of analgesic interventions, preference and acceptability in medical abortion up to 49 days of amenorrhea with mifepristone and orally versus vaginally administered misoprostol.
STUDY DESIGN: Ninety-seven women were randomised to oral misoprostol, n=48, or vaginal misoprostol, n=49. On day 1 of the study, both the groups received 600 mg of mifepristone. The aim of this study was to compare the influence of rifaximin and neomycin on faecal flora in rats. The study was performed on 18 Wistar rats (three groups of six male animals).
