The examination of the chromosomes of a seven year old child with severe mental retardation, allowed us to bring to light, beside a majority of cells with a normal karyotype, a population of about 10% of cells in which chromosome 7 showed a gap in the juxtacentromeric area of its short arm. The degree of this alteration varied from the simple angulation to the complete break with short arm's loss. Polyploidy level of experimentally induced deciduomata was determined by cytophotometric measures of DNA-Feulgen, with the "Ultramikrospektrophotometer UMSP Zeiss" by scanning. The antimesometrial tissue reached 32 n, 72 H after the uterine trauma, whereas the mesometrial part did not exceed a 4 n polyploidy level. With the same technics we studied the ovarian hormone, its action upon the blastocyst cellular cycle. In delayed blastocysts, synthesis was never found. OEstradiol removed the inhibition and DNA synthesis then starts again.

Trained users of Rhythmic and Athletic Gymnastic, present kinetic spinal vast extents. Analysis, with pasted cutaneous markers, shows that, according to the codified movement, various segments of the vertebral column are requested and realized important displacements. Nevertheless, to have an homogeneous attitude, some subjects request more either lumbar or thoracic segments, of both. To prevent frequent spinal pain, it is important to realize a preliminary subject selection using their total spine and to improve protection by adapted gymnastic.

Sigmoid volulus occurs more frequently in Turkish people than the European. The anatomy of the sigmoid colon plays an important role in the etiology. In our study various measurements of the sigmoid colon of 25 preserved cadavers were taken and the results were interpreted according to the frequency of sigmoid volvulus in this country.

The portion of the internal carotid artery (ICA) located above the line joining the tip of the mastoid and the angle of the mandible is in close relation with cranial nerves VII, IX, X, XI and XII as well as the middle ear at the beginning of its intrapetrous course. Several procedures have been described for exposure of the ICA at the base of the skull. Extension of the conventional sternocleidomastoid approach by mandibular subluxation associated with division of the posterior belly of the digastric muscle and the styloid apophysis or its attached muscles allows exposure of most of the ICA.

Of 152 patients with imperforate anus, 16 girls -25%), 10 boys (15%) have an abnormality of the genital tract and real frequency seems underevaluated. In girls, vaginal septum, bicornuate and didelphys uterus are mostly diagnosed, associated with severe unilateral upper urinary tract malformations. Absent vagina and uterus (Rokitansky syndrome) must be seen at birth, to preserve perineal fistula used to fashion a vagina at the time of the abdomino-perineal fistula pull through. In boys hypospadias, ectopia and uretero-vas anastomosis are the most frequent malformations.

Morphologically, the pampiniform plexuses investigated had, in their majority, no vascular spiraling on the left side, the same occurring on the right side; however, as for the total number of valves, except for those of the pampiniform plexuses, the left side was found contain a greater number of valves. Gonadal dysgenesis are classified according to the aspect of external genitalia. The group with female genitalia includes Turner's syndrome, and "pure" dysgenesis; the group with male genitalia involves Klinefelter's syndrome, XX males and may be anorchia; the group with ambiguous genitalia includes "mixed" gonadal dysgenesis, true hermaphroditism and Leydig-cell agenesis. An algorythmic approach to patients with ambiguous external genitalia is presented in order to distinguish between gonadal dysgenesis and male or female pseudohermaphroditism.

The authors have used the technique of injection-corrosion-fluorescence for a better knowledge of the arterial vascularization of the vertebral column of dogs. The vascular molds have been observed under ultraviolet light, and the magnificent fluorescence allowed easy reading of the results. At the cervical level they are the vertebral and the deep cervical arteries as the main arterial sources, at the thoracic level it is the intercostal, and in the lumbar region the lumbar arteries.
