AIMS: Frusemide is widely used in the treatment of acute pulmonary oedema, chronic congestive heart failure and, to a lesser degree, in the treatment of hypertension. Evidence suggests that frusenuide exerts an anti-vasoconstrictor effect independent of its diuretic properties.
