The title compound, C26H26O6, consists of two methyl-ene(-oxy)ethyl-benzoate moieties in ortho position to a phenyl ring. The central phenyl ring is almost coplanar with one of the ethyl-benzoate fragments, which guarantees an electron delocalization within the mol-ecule, while it forms a dihedral angle of 57.4 (2)° with the other. Salicylic acid (SA) biosynthesis in plants occurs via the isochorismate synthase (ICS) and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL) pathways. Veterinary medicinal products (VMPs) are widely used within the fish farming industry to control sea lice infestations. Ninety patients suffering from recurrent urticaria were orally exposed to 500 mg acetyl salicylic acid (ASA). 36.6% proved to be ASA intoler … earch was carried out on the occurrence of the tested substances. The main indication for use of avermectins in aquaculture-produced fish is infestations with ectoparasitic copepods. The compounds ivermectin and emamectin benzoate are predominantly used as in-feed formulations on salmonid fish against copepods in the family Caligidae: Lepeophtheirus salmonis, Caligus elongatus and C. rogercresseyi. These agents are well-documented as very effective on all developmental stages of the parasites. The duration of effect can be up to 10 weeks.
