Small tentacles or separated nests of squamous cells in the dermis are not uncommonly seen in long-standing vulvar lichen sclerosus (LS) associated with epidermal thickening. We recently encountered a case where separated nests of well-differentiated squamous cells in the dermis were difficult to distinguish from squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Fibroadenomatous hyperplasia (FAH) is characterized by a rapid proliferation of mammary stroma and duct epithelium of 1 or more glands and predominantly affects younger female cats. Endogenous progesterone and exogenous progestogens play an important role in the genesis of FAH. We report a case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of Burkitt's type with thyrotoxicosis and thymic hyperplasia in a 27-year old man. As far as we are aware this is the first reported case of Burkitt's lymphoma, thymic hyperplasia and thyrotoxicosis occurring in the same patient.

We describe a female patient with a localized form of syringolymphoid hyperplasia with alopecia and anhidrosis (SLHA). This woman is the eleventh patient with this disease so far reported in the literature. She suffered from a slowly but continuously progressing single lesion on her right ankle. Mild congenital adrenal hyperplasia, however, is common, affecting one in 100 to 1,000 persons in the United States and frequently eluding diagnosis. In this study we analysed 373 cases of microglandular hyperplasia of endocervix belonging to patients from the III-VII decades of life. Most of the lesions had the typic aspect of proliferation of small glandular lumen lined by endocervix type epithelium, with or without areas of basal proliferation or immature squamous metaplasia. In 8 cases the growing patterns were peculiar, with mucinous or florid aspects, three of the cases rising differential diagnosis problems with cervical carcinoma.

A case of mucinous hyperplasia in the right renal pelvis and ureter is reported in a 23-year-old, male, Quarter horse. The affected right renal pelvis was markedly distended and filled with inspissated yellowish-green mucous material compressing the adjacent cortical and medullary parenchyma. Multiple, similar masses were present protruding from the right urethral mucosa. Histologically, the masses were characterized by a cystic glandular and papillary hyperplasia of the mucosa of the renal pelvis and ureter. This is believed to be the first reported case in an equine species.

Syringolymphoid hyperplasia with alopecia is an uncommon skin disorder described in 1969 by Sarkany. Since then only three additional cases have been reported, all in the European literature. Sixteen cases of nodular regenerative hyperplasia of the liver in children are presented. The patients, 10 girls and 6 boys, were between the ages of 7 months and 13 years, with a median of 6 years. This investigation was undertaken to correlate the scintigraphic and histological features of condylar hyperplasia to identify consistent diagnostic findings. A series of 34 surgically excised condyles were examined from a 5 year period. Of these, 20 were diagnosed clinically and histologically as condylar hyperplasia. Measurements of erythropoiesis and iron balance were made in eight normal and 32 anemic subjects.
