A case of lentigo maligna melanoma on the vermilion of the right lower lip which invaded deeply along the mental nerve is described. The patient also had sensory loss and numbness in the area innervated by the mental nerve, which was the only sign of this rare mode of invasion in this case. Early excision of the lentigo maligna lesion is stressed, and if the patient complains of sensory disturbances in the area of the lesion, this might be a sign of deep invasion of the tumour along the nerve bundle.

In this research project the outcomes of photodynamic therapy for the treatment of stage I and II carcinoma of the lip are presented. Retrospectively, 15 patients diagnosed with a primary stage I or II lip carcinoma and treated with meta-tetra hydroxyphenyl chlorin mediated photodynamic therapy were evaluated. METHODS: 7 patients with lower lip cancer (3 cases of basal cell carcinoma, 2 cases squamous cell carcinoma and 2 cases papillary carcinoma) underwent excision. INTRODUCTION: This study provides an epidemiological description of cancer in the lip, oral cavity, and oropharynx in the South and South-East Asia region.
METHODS: The number of new cases and deaths was extracted from the GLOBOCAN 2020 and the CI5 series. We present age-standardized incidence and mortality rates per 100,000 inhabitants. To assess temporal trends, we estimated the annual percent change.
RESULTS: The incidence rates (ASR) for lip and oral cavity cancer in South and South-East Asia were highest in Taiwan (30.2), Sri Lanka (16.5), India (14.8), and Pakistan (13.2) among males.

INTRODUCTION: Neurotrophic ulceration (NTU) in the trigeminal nerve sensitive area is rare. It may be caused by a lesion anywhere on the trigeminal nerve's trajectory.
