Hydrophilized and hydrophobized forms of the lipase from Mucor miehei were obtained by its chemical modification with cellobiose and N-hydroxysuccinimidyl palmitate with a modification degree of 4 in both cases. Pulmonary mucormycosis is a rare opportunistic infection of immunocompromised individuals. Here, we report a case of 70-year-old male, smoker presenting with high-grade fever for 2 weeks and episodes of hemoptysis.
