BACKGROUND: Disorders of sex development (DSD) are rare conditions. Although they are known to predispose to germ cell tumors (GCT), there is a paucity of information regarding the circumstances of DSD discovery.
DESIGN/METHODS: All patients with DSD registered in two French pediatric GCT protocols (TGM95 and 13) were analyzed.
RESULTS: Sixteen patients were identified among 276 ovarian, 160 testicular, and 24 mediastinal GCT. Eleven phenotypic females (median age 15 years) exhibited gonadal GCT, including 10 with a 46,XY karyotype and gonadal dysgenesis and one with 46XX,45X0 mosaicism. Non

Multimodality treatment, with chemotherapy and surgery, is potentially curative in case of non-seminomatous germ cell tumours. Acquired arterial pulmonary stenosis is rarely found in adults. Tumors of the pineal region are rare and relatively few centers around the world have published substantial numbers of carefully studied cases. This review gives a historical account of our understanding of the normal pineal and the evolution of the classification of tumors and other mass lesions of the pineal region in human beings. Based on our experience over the past 30 years, a working classification is proposed and recent advances in the neuropathology of these lesions are discussed.

To our knowledge, there are no published reports on the effectiveness of radiosurgery in the management of brain metastases from testicular nonseminomatous germ cell tumor. Non-seminomatous germ cell tumours (NSGCT) are the most common malignancy from testicular origin in young males. Malignant mixed Müllerian tumors are usually found in the endometrium, vagina, cervix, and ovary. It is extremely rare for this tumor to arise in the fallopian tube, and to date only 37 tubal cases have been reported. We recently experienced 2 such cases.
