We measured pupil cycle time before and after treatment in 11 patients with compressive optic nerve disease. Nine patients had chiasmal tumors and two had optic neuropathy of Grave's disease. Pupil cycle time before treatment was abnormal in at least one eye of all patients and in each case, pupil cycle time improved or worsened in accordance with the response to treatment of the patient's visual acuity and visual fields. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the deep structural abnormalities in the patients with morning glory syndrome by using swept source optical coherence tomography.
METHODS: The papillary and peripapillary areas of the four eyes (four patients) with morning glory syndrome were examined with a prototype swept source optical coherence tomography system with a center wavelength of 1,050 nm. BACKGROUND: To validate objectively the proposed Teherán-Morales's color grading scale, comparing to the subjective readings of specialists in optic nerve photography.

This report discusses the subject of pallor of the optic disc from the viewpoint of a paediatric neurologist. The paper is divided into two sections, one on optic atrophy in childhood and the second on optic nerve hypoplasia. Optic atrophy in children is a topic which is very poorly covered in standard textbooks either of neurology or ophthalmology. This review attempts to develop a working approach to the management of children who present with optic nerve atrophy as their primary neurological finding.

We evaluated factors associated with decreased or stable visual function in 72 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and complete cupping of the optic disk who were followed up five years or more. New criteria for diagnosing congenital stationary night blindness include loss of the oscillatory potentials in the photopic and bright-flas … f strabismus. The photopic electroretinograms were subnormal. Of the male patients, five had tilted optic disks with temporal portions of the nerve missing, and two had misshapen nerve heads.
