Availability of Medications for Opioid Use Disorder in Opioid Treatment Programs.

IMPORTANCE: As the primary facilities authorized to dispense methadone, opioid treatment programs (OTPs) are a critical access point for medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). However, research is limited on the extent to which OTPs offer a broad range of MOUD and on the characteristics of programs that provide more comprehensive medication offerings. OBJECTIVE: To assess the percentage of US OTPs offering all 3 forms of MOUD (methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone) and compare organizational and county characteristics of OTPs with different MOUD service offerings. DESIGN, SETTING, AN

OBJECTIVE: We aimed to evaluate satisfaction of patients treated with high-efficacy therapies for relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis and identify factors influencing prefe

Although online resources have potential for wide dissemination, they vary considerably in quality. To address this gap, we developed Teaching Online Organizational and virtual Learning Skills (TOOLS) as a free online psychoeducational resource for adolescents and young adults with ADHD and their adult supports. TOOLS includes 11 animated videos and accompanying informational handouts describing organizational and cognitive-behavioral strategies for managing ADHD. O

Development and validation of the arabic version of the social-ecological model questionnaire for patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis.

BACKGROUND: Patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) in Arabic-speaking regions, particularly in Palestine, face unique sociopolitical and cultural barriers affecting their care and quality of life. Existing assessment tools rarely address the multi-level determinants of support within these populations, highlighting the need for a culturally validated instrument based on the Social-Ecological Model (SEM). OBJECTIVE: To develop and validate an Arabic-language questionnaire grounded in the SEM to assess the multi-level (community, interpersonal, organizational, and policy) support fa

When bad things happen to good nursing departments: how to stay hopeful in tough times.

How does a crisis impact a hospital? And how should nursing executives manage the crisis so that productivity and morale remain high? The purpose of this article is to trace an organizational crisis from its inception to its resolution. Every crisis has predictable components that if recognized will enable an administrator to diminish interpersonal hostility and conflict. Key strategies for resolving a crisis include sending objective messages to staff concerning the magnitude of the crisis, enlisting staff support in resolving problems contributing to the crisis, and projecting an optimistic

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to quantify burnout levels in O&P clinicians and explore the factors contributing to this phenomenon. STUDY DESIGN: This study used a convergent parallel mixed-methods approach: a survey incorporating the Abbreviated Maslach Burnout Inv

Mental health and support profiles among children's advocacy center multidisciplinary team members working with victims of child sexual abuse material.

OBJECTIVE: Professionals working with child sexual abuse, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), are at risk for adverse mental health outcomes due to repeated exposure to distressing experiences. Variation in decision-making on out-of-home placements in child and family welfare services: A new approach.

BACKGROUND: Variation across local administrative units (municipalities) is critical in child welfare, as inconsistencies in out-of-home placement decisions can create inequalities in children's access to support. Given the impact of placement decisions on a child's well-being, and long-term outcomes, ensuring fairness and consistency is essential in promoting equal opportunities for all children. OBJECTIVE AND SETTING: This study explores municipal variation in out-of-home placement decisions following referrals in Danish child and family welfare using 52.649 out-of-sample predicted risk sco

Organizational Barriers to Oral Health Conversations Between Health Visitors and Parents of Children Aged 9-12 Months Old.

Background: Dental caries is the most prevalent preventable childhood disease and a major public health priority. Local authorities in England have a statutory responsibility to improve child health, including oral health, through the "Healthy Child Programme." The "Healthy Child Programme," which includes the provision of oral health advice is delivered by health visitors to parents of young children. To date, research has mainly concentrated on individual interactions between health visitors and parents, with less attention given to the broader context in which these oral health conversation
