Psychometric Evaluation of the Korean Version of CollaboRATE Among Multimorbid Patients with Hypertension.

BACKGROUND: CollaboRATE is a 3-item instrument that measures patients' perceived shared decision-making. Compared to other shared decision-making measures, it demonstrates strong content validity and is brief enough for use in busy clinical environments. However, no Korean version is currently available. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to translate CollaboRATE into Korean and evaluate its psychometric properties among multimorbid patients with hypertension. METHODS: The original version of CollaboRATE was translated into Korean using a forward- and back-translation process. Cognitive interviews

Initial Psychometric Evaluation of the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment in Greek Adolescents.

Adolescents' perceived security in relationships with parents and peers relates to psychosocial adjustment, yet the psychometric performance of the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) has not been examined in Greece. This study evaluated the Greek IPPA in a non-probability sample of 432 adolescents aged 12-16 years from five schools in Attica (Greece). Internal consistency, item-level analyses, floor and ceiling effects, and one-factor, two-factor, correlated three-factor, and bifactor models were examined using ordinal WLSMV estimation. Relations with Strengths and Difficulties Que

Future Orientation Scale: A Psychometric Evaluation Across Health-Vulnerable Samples.

Future orientation encompasses positive expectations about the future, the presence of reasons for persevering, and the perceived ability to cope and pursue goals under hardship, and is associated with beneficial health outcomes. Using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), the psychometric properties of the six-item Future Orientation Scale (FOS) were evaluated among samples of predominantly racially and ethnically minoritized undergraduates (N = 3,219), individuals with fibromyalgia (N = 508), and sexual and gender minority (SGM) individuals (N = 496). How "Micro" Is Microperimetry? Characterizing the Effect of Fundus Tracking on the Psychometric Function.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to quantify whether fundus tracking in microperimetry improves psychometric parameter estimation (as an in vivo demonstration of improved stimulus-delivery precision), and to derive a psychometrically grounded criterion intensity for suprathreshold (defect-mapping) microperimetry. METHODS: Twenty-five healthy volunteers underwent Macular Integrity Assessment (MAIA)2 microperimetry at five loci referenced to Bruch's membrane opening (BMO): three outside and two inside the blind spot. At each location, frequency-of-seeing (FoS) functions were measured with

Psychometric properties of the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) in the Dominican Republic.

BACKGROUND: The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) is one of the most widely used instruments worldwide for screening and quantifying the severity of depressive symptoms. Its brevity, public-domain availability, and strong empirical support have facilitated its broad adoption across clinical and research settings. However, despite its extensive international use, evidence regarding its psychometric performance in the Dominican Republic remains limited. The absence of locally validated instruments entails critical challenges, including reduced diagnostic accuracy, suboptimal assessment of s

Psychometric Properties of the Dutch Short Form of the Five-Factor Narcissism Inventory.

The Five-Factor Narcissism Inventory-Short Form (FFNI-SF) is specifically developed to assess narcissism at the two- (grandiose and vulnerable narcissism) and three-factor level (agentic extraversion, self-centered antagonism, and narcissistic neuroticism). To date, however, no psychometrically validated Dutch language version has been available in research or clinical settings. This study developed and validated the Dutch version of the 60-item FFNI-SF (FFNI-SF-NL), examining its reliability, factor structure, and convergent and discriminant validity following a preregistered analysis plan. Psychometric validation and predictive efficacy of a comprehensive depression risk model for undergraduates.

BACKGROUND: Undergraduate depression is prevalent, yet traditional screening is unidimensional and inefficient. We developed a biopsychosocial risk classification model for the cross-sectional identification of current depressive symptoms. METHODS: A cross-sectional study enrolled 898 undergraduates from a medical university in Western China (March-June 2024). The participants were randomized to training (n = 719, 80%) and test (n = 179, 20%) sets. Assessments included demographics, somatic symptoms (Somatic Symptom Scale), insomnia severity (Insomnia Severity Index, ISI), and depressive symp

Development and psychometric validation of the soft skills scale for primary school students.

This study aimed to develop a Soft Skills Scale for primary school students and to determine its psychometric properties. A total of 2,418 primary school students participated in the scale development process. Principal component analysis revealed a six-factor, 19-item structure explaining 41.37% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis provided additional evidence supporting the proposed six-factor structure, with acceptable model fit indices. Criterion-related validity was supported by a moderate positive correlation. Test-retest reliability, assessed over a four-week period, yiel

Psychometric Evidence on the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia for Temporomandibular Disorders: A Scoping Review.

Temporomandibular disorders are frequently associated with orofacial pain, functional limitations, and psychosocial factors that may contribute to persistent symptoms. Kinesiophobia, or fear of movement, may influence mandibular function and rehabilitation outcomes. This scoping review aimed to map the available evidence on the psychometric properties and cross-cultural adaptations of the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia for Temporomandibular Disorders (TSK-TMD) and to identify gaps in the current literature. Literature searches were conducted in PubMed, Scopus, and the Web of Science Core Collec

Measuring prejudice and stereotypes: A systematic review of psychometric quality and conceptual foundations.

Prejudice and stereotypes are central constructs in social psychology, yet instruments used to measure them vary in conceptual clarity and psychometric evidence. This preregistered systematic review provides a comprehensive, cross-method synthesis of the psychometric properties and theoretical foundations of measures assessing racial and ethnic prejudice and stereotypes. Following PRISMA and COSMIN guidelines, we screened 13,363 records and included 263 studies published between 1951 and 2024. We evaluated reliability, validity, factor structure, measurement invariance and conceptual alignment

Sleepless in Germany: psychometric validation of a German version of the Bedtime Procrastination Scale.

INTRODUCTION: Bedtime procrastination refers to delaying bedtime despite the absence of external constraints and awareness of potential negative consequences. It is linked to impaired sleep, reduced well-being, and self-regulatory difficulties. Although the Bedtime Procrastination Scale (BPS) is most widely used, no validated German version is available. This study aimed to translate, culturally adapt, and evaluate the psychometric properties of the German Bedtime Procrastination Scale (BPS-G). METHODS: A sample of 548 German-speaking adults completed the BPS-G and measures of procrastination

Psychometric Validation and Cultural Adaptation of the Turkish Version of the Global Psychotrauma Screen.

Background: The prevalence of trauma-related disorders in Türkiye is higher than in high-income countries due to an increased likelihood of exposure to traumatic events. Türkiye's high prevalence of trauma-related disorders underscores the need for validated tools to screen for trauma-related symptoms. The Global Psychotrauma Screen (GPS) is a newly developed, brief instrument designed to screen for transdiagnostic trauma-related symptoms and risk factors. However, its validity in Turkish populations has yet to be established. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Tur

The psychometric properties of the Thai version of the Zuckerman-Kuhlman-Aluja personality questionnaire.

The Five-Factor Model of personality traits has consistently demonstrated expected associations with features of psychiatric disorders, both within the general population and clinical settings. In pursuit of a more nuanced understanding, facet-level assessments like the Zuckerman-Kuhlman-Aluja Personality Questionnaire (ZKA-PQ) offer more profound insights into their facets. However, notably, the applicability of the ZKA-PQ to the Thai population remains untested. We hypothesized that the Thai version of the ZKA-PQ would demonstrate the validity of the construct as the original version. Conseq
