DESIGN: Retrospective review of prospectively collected cancer center database records.

Skin resurfacing for cutaneous rejuvenation has evolved with the development of a plethora of nonsurgical and minimally invasive modalities. We have highlighted the advances in laser therapy, chemical peels, radiofrequency, microneedling, and platelet-rich plasma therapy. We have also included studies providing head-to-head comparisons between procedures and discussed relevant debates in the field. Renal radiofrequency (RF) ablation therapy is a safe and effective therapy for small renal cell carcinoma. Although the risk of complications is low, the potential for ureteral or calyceal injury does increase in the case of a centrally located lesion. A retrograde cold dextrose pyeloperfusion technique was designed to protect the collecting system in a patient who underwent percutaneous RF ablation of a central tumor of the left kidney.

Local hyperthermia by 13.56-MHz radiofrequency (RF) capacitive heating was evaluated in 16 patients with malignant brain tumors. Intracranial heating during operation was performed in 4 patients.
