Our objective was to study long-term respiratory outcomes of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) treated in the perinatal period. This was a cohort study with 26 adolescent survivors and age- and gender-matched controls. Medical histories were retrieved from hospital charts and questionnaires. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Residual native kidney function confers health benefits in patients on dialysis. It can facilitate control of extracellular volume and inorganic ion concentrations. Residual kidney function can also limit the accumulation of uremic solutes. Between April 2010 and April 2014, 39 consective adult patients (> 18 years) with PDA associated severe pulmonary hypertension underwent transesophageal echocardiography guided patent ductus arteriosus occlusion through a parasternal minimally invasive approach. BACKGROUND: To describe the long-term outcomes of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of parotid Warthin tumors that have different consistencies and locations.
METHODS: We reviewed ten patients with Warthin tumors undergoing RFA treatment from 2016 to 2019. The mean follow-up was 24.3 ± 13.1 months (range 7-42 months).

PURPOSE: The currently used scheme for radioligand therapy (RLT) of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) consists of 4-6 cycles of 6.0-7.4 GBq [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617 each. This standard treatment scheme has proved safe and effective resulting in objective response in most patients with no significant toxicity. Many patients, however, show high-volume residual tumor burden after the sixth cycle and may benefit from treatment continuation. Increased volume of trapped gas (VTG) was found in 87 asbestos-exposed railroad repair shop workers, divided into three subgroups according to smoking habits. All the examined subjects had pleural plaques. Determination of VTG was used to study function of small airways. Increased VTG was found among asbestos-exposed smokers as well as nonsmokers. In both groups the VTG:TLC ratio was elevated compared with controls. Increased VTG is a sign of small airways dysfunction. In asbestos-exposed subjects, it might be caused by an early peribronchial reaction to inhaled asbestos fibers.
