Recently we found one case of endometriosis in the extraperitoneal part of the round ligament (EERL). We found 30 cases previously described in the literature. A comparison showed that 90% were right-sided and often associated with an inguinal hernia. Fertility seemed to be below normal. In four of the cases a laporotomy was done. All had intraperitoneal endometriosis. In cases of EERL and claimed sterility therefore, the presence of intraperitoneal endometriosis should also be considered.

Duplication of the portal vein is a rare variation, and reports of this condition are quite limited. The present report describes a woman of advanced age who was incidentally diagnosed with duplicated portal veins. The portal vein from the splenic vein distributed to the left lobe of the liver, and that from the superior mesenteric vein ran between the pancreas and duodenum to distribute to the right lobe. Left-sided gallbladder is a rare anomaly that is often associated with other abnormal anatomy in the hepatobiliary system. We report our experience of a case of left-sided gallbladder associated with the congenital hypoplasia of the left lobe of the liver. A 71-year-old woman underwent cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis. Intraoperative findings revealed the absence of the left lobe of the liver. Adenomyosis is the presence of endometrial glands and stroma within the myometrium. The focal and localized form of adenomyosis is known as adenomyoma. It is rarely located outside the uterus which is termed as extrauterine adenomyoma. In this paper, a numerical modeling was developed to study (on the basis of the Paris law) the fatigue propagation paths of eccentric external (outer) cracks in circumferentially cracked round bars (CCRB) subjected to a cyclic type of loading in the form of either remote tensile loading or imposed axial displacement. Surgical antefixation of the retroflected uterus is today for several reasons a rare event. We report on a forty-year old patient with dyspareunia, dysmenorrhoea and lumbalgia. Elevation of the uterus by means of a Hodge pessary relieved her symptoms. This prompted laparoscopical suspension of the diagnosed retroflexio uteri mobilis.
