UNLABELLED: Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (UPS) remains one of the most clinically aggressive and poorly characterized soft-tissue sarcoma subtypes. To uncover distinctive molecular traits for UPS, a multiomics analysis of UPS compared with leiomyosarcoma (LMS) and liposarcoma (LPS) was performed. There is currently a need to identify new biomarkers to diagnose metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Here, using C57BL6N male mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD), we provide evidence that extracellular succinate buildup is a sex-dependent diagnostic marker for MASLD. Male mice fed the HFD for 2-weeks developed simple steatosis, which was associated with the plasma buildup of succinate to 50 μM. Kluyveromyces marxianus is a promising thermotolerant yeast for industrial biotechnology, but lacks efficient genome engineering tools. A CRISPR/Cas12a genome editing toolbox for K. marxianus was developed for the first time in this study. In recent years, hydrogels have found a special place in regenerative medicine for tissue repair, rehabilitation, and drug delivery. To be used in regenerative medicine, hydrogels must have desirable physical, chemical, and biological properties. In this study, a new biomonomer based on hydroxyethyl methacrylate-succinic acid-polyethylene glycol 200 (HEMA-Suc-PEG) was synthesized and characterized. Endometritis poses higher health risks to women. Clinical practice has found that gastrointestinal dysfunction is more likely to lead to the occurrence of endometritis. OBJECTIVE: To analyse the clinical efficacy and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) of iron preparations.
METHODS: A total of 374 patients with iron deficiency anaemia admitted to our hospital between 1 January and 31 December 2020 were included in this study. They were divided into 2 groups based on their medication regimens: Group A (n = 187) took oral ferrous succinate tablets, and Group B (n = 187) received intravenous iron sucrose. The remission of major symptoms, laboratory test results, ADRs and other related data were collected after 4 weeks of treatment.
