The objectives of this study were to evaluate calf performance, diet digestibility, and rumination activity when feeding 4 milk replacer (MR) feeding programs. Following aortic reimplantation of anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery in a 6-month-old infant, the heart failed to wean after prolonged supportive cardiopulmonary bypass and maximal inotropic support. Young, recently weaned pigs were implanted with subcutaneous vascular access ports in experiments designed to determine the relative bioavailability of lead from contaminated soils.
