Usefulness of imputation in the treatment of missing values in an otologic database was studied. Missing values were filled in with means (ME), regression (LR) and Expectation-Maximization (EM) imputation methods. A random imputation method (RA) provided baseline results. ME, LR and EM methods agreed on 41-42% of the imputed missing values. The level of agreement between these and RA method was 20-22%. The optimal configuration of backpropagation (BP) neural networks was determined after 35 trials with different BP configurations evaluating the total detection rate. Ten different training and testing sets were used to identify optimal samples. Transtelephonic ECG has been introduced in Slovenia in 1996. It has been operating on a regular basis since September 1997. Users of the system are health institutions and patients with CV diseases. They use portable 12-channel ECG weighing less then 200 grams. Diagnostic center is located in medical ICU in Clinical Center Ljubljana. This paper presents an overview of the development of the Learning in Virtual Environments programme (LIVE), carried out in special education over the last four years. It is more precisely a project chronology, so that the reader can sense the historical development of the programme rather than giving emphasis to any one particular feature or breakthrough, which are covered in other papers and available through the authors. Two interactive virtual reality environments were used to identify factors that may affect, or be affected by, the degree of immersion in a virtual world.
