Effect of E-Health-Assisted Lifestyle Interventions on Weight Loss in Patients With Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD, Formerly NAFLD): A Meta-Analysis.

BACKGROUND: Lifestyle modification remains the cornerstone of managing metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Achieving a weight loss of 7% to 10% of total body weight is known to improve hepatic steatosis and reduce liver-related damage. However, sustained behavioral changes are often difficult to achieve without structured support. E-health technologies may offer scalable and accessible solutions to support weight management in this population. OBJECTIVE: We aimed to evaluate the effect of e-health-assisted lifestyle interventions on weight loss in patients with M

"Phoenix Rising": A scoping review on the impacts of dragon boating exercise on well-being among breast cancer survivors and factors affecting their participation.

OBJECTIVE: Breast cancer survivors (BCS) often experience declines in physical and psychosocial well-being post-treatment, making supportive interventions essential. Dragon boating(team-based paddling in a long boat) has emerged as a promising, popular exercise for BCS. However, no comprehensive reviews exist on its impacts or participation factors. This scoping review addressed these gaps by examining two research questions (RQ): RQ1) the impacts of dragon boating on BCS' well-being, and RQ2) facilitators and barriers influencing their participation. METHODS: Seven databases (PubMed, Embase,

Protocols for decolonisation of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales and vancomycin-resistant enterococci: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND: Rises in the prevalence of multi-drug-resistant organisms threaten patient safety globally. Vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VREs) and carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) are linked with prolonged hospitalisation, treatment failure, and increased mortality. Decolonisation strategies could reduce transmission and improve outcomes, but their efficacy and safety remain uncertain. This study systematically evaluates decolonisation protocols for VRE and CRE through a meta-analysis. METHODS: Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines

Post-mortem ultrasound for detecting major fluid collections: a systematic review.

Traditional autopsy is an essential tool for post-mortem diagnosis, but recently acceptance has declined, leading to increased interest in minimally invasive alternatives such as post-mortem ultrasonography (PMUS). The diagnostic test accuracy of PMUS in forensic and perinatal contexts has not been systematically evaluated. Our systematic review aimed to evaluate the accuracy of diagnosis by using PMUS for detection of pericardial tamponade, hemoperitoneum, and hemothorax, using either full autopsy or minimally invasive autopsy (MIA) as a reference standard. Using PubMed, Embase, Scopus, and W

Effect of early integration of supportive care in addition to standard care in patients with breast cancer: A randomised controlled trial.

PURPOSE: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women in India, with patients often experiencing high symptom burden and compromised quality of life (QoL). Despite evidence supporting early supportive care integration, significant implementation gaps persist in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). This study addresses the lack of feasible intervention models for resource-constrained settings and inadequate characterization of mechanisms through which early supportive care improves outcomes-particularly symptom-specific contributions and financial burden reduction. METHODS: Thi
