Through a study of some syndromes of intra-cranial high and low pressure, the authors try to find out the relations between the intra-cranial stresses and the development of frontal sinuses. They study the morphology of the frontal sinuses in 20 cases of old and chronic hydrocephaly, in 13 cases of oxycephaly with a late diagnosis, and in 20 cases of adults suffering with infantile cerebral hemiatrophy. 39 cases of congenital anomalies in the origin and/or in the distribution of the coronary arteries arisen from the aorta, without associated cardiac abnormality, seen in the course of 6 525 selective coronary arteriographies in adults, are reported and integrated into a general classification of coronary arteries abnormalities. The clinical correlation of these anomalies is specified. The authors emphasize the importance of their diagnosis in the surgery of valve replacement or of myocardial revascularization.

Peritoneography is a simple radio-anatomic method to get informations about the depth and the orientation of the Douglas pouch in children in relation to fixed bony landmarks in the pelvis (upper part of the pubic bone-lowest sacral segment). Measurements were recorded on patients ranging from 15 days-old to 15 years-old. The older the patient, the deeper and the more posterior seemed to be the Douglas pouch.

Several peptides normally produced in the anterior pituitary lobe were searched in rat antral mucosa by immunocytochemistry. Two embryos, one at stage 23 and another at stage 16, are reconstructed in view of studying the evolution of the lumbosacral plexus. At stage 16, the sacral plexus begins its development with anastomosis of L5, S1 and S2 roots, while the pelvic member is scarcely sketched. At stage 23, the evolution is complete, the pelvis is entirely constitued and the femoral, sciatic and obturator nerves of adult type. The coccygian plexus is in process of construction.

Quinacrine can be used for fluorescence microscopy to visualize certain cell bodies and fibres in the myenteric plexus of the intestine, forming a network different from the cholinergic and adrenergic systems. In the Piebald mouse, animal model of congenital megacolon, the quinacrine positive plexus is thin in the distal narrowed segment and well developed in the large proximal zone. In Hirschsprung's disease, the quniacrine positive network has the same pathologic features but, contrary to the animal model, there is an increased number and size of extrinsic cholinergic and adrenergic fibres.

On two personal cases of left diaphragmatic congenital hernia, the authors study the innervation of the diaphragm. They describe a lower number of fibres in the phrenic nerve on the side of the malformation and don't find any branches coming from the intercostal nerves. Thymic and splenic extracts rich in FOA-KURLOFF (F.K.) body cells, obtained from guinea-pigs treated with oestrogen, were added to rat testis or ovaries in culture. Controls were prepared with extracts from thymus and spleen of non treated animals and from kidneys of treated or non treated animals. After five hours the level of sexual hormones and the germinal cells were studied. The F.K. substance has no effect on germinal cells and on progesterone and testosterone secretion.
